Padma Lakshmi Sauvignon Blanc Wine

We’ve partnered with Padma Lakshmi to create two wines for November. The white is fresh and citrusy, featuring notes of lemon, green apple, fresh-cut grass, and apple blossom. The red is bright and juicy, offering flavors of red cherry, raspberry, and cranberry, complemented by aromatic cedar, spice, and earthy mushroom undertones. Both wines are crafted to be versatile, making them excellent companions for a wide variety of dishes.

While these wines are designed to pair well with a broad range of foods, certain dishes truly shine alongside them. Sauvignon Blanc is a perfect match for dishes with citrus, fresh vegetables, herbs, and tangy goat cheese. Pinot Noir, with its versatility, complements everything from red meats to hearty seafood. It pairs particularly well with flavors found in mushrooms, roast chicken (especially the dark meat), and grilled salmon.

Both of these wines hail from France, the birthplace of these varietals. Sauvignon Blanc originated in Western France, particularly in the Loire Valley and Bordeaux regions, where it has long been celebrated for its bright acidity and aromatic, herbal notes. Pinot Noir traces its roots to Central France, especially the Burgundy region. This delicate red grape has been cherished since medieval times when winemaking monks meticulously identified the ideal plots for its cultivation, now known as Grand Cru vineyards.
